Newcastle – Godly Play Network Group

Friday 1st November 2019

7.30pm – ~9.30pm

St. James’ and St. Basil’s

On the corner of
Fenham Hall Dr and Wingrove Rd
Newcastle upon Tyne

*** Note:  New Venue ***

This will be our first meeting in our new venue.  From now until 2021, the Cathedral will be undergoing extensive and exciting renovation work.  To protect ourselves and the Godly Play resources from the disruption and mess that will be a part of this process, the Godly Play materials have been temporarily relocated to St. James’ and St. Basil’s in Fenham.  They will be housed in a dedicated room there, and for the period of the loan, will be used for Godly Play sessions in the church, and for our network meetings.

You are invited to join us to share a story – as we approach Advent, we are going to share a story “in the style of Godly Play”, called the “Advent Wreath”.  It is a story that is readily adaptable for worship settings.  Following the story we have the opportunity, over the feast, to reflect on our experiences of using Godly Play in our different contexts and share ideas and resources.  This is an opportunity to get to know other Godly Play practitioners in a relaxed atmosphere.

All are welcome whether you’re just beginning, and would like a “taste” of Godly Play, or an experienced practitioner.
